Description of the heater

1
RIM
The place where the grille is located. The height of the grille should be flush with the upper part of the edge. The most popular frame heights are 20 and 18mm

DECORATIVE L-FRAMES
The L-frame is used to cover the gaps between the heater and the floor. It is used primarily in places where expansion joints should be left. Decorative L-frames are delivered in 4 elements (2 long and 2 short) and cut to the appropriate angle. The framefrom the bottom has prepared double-sided tape, which is then glued to the floor. L-frame is available in four sizes: 15x15x1,5mm and 20x20x2mm and 20x8x1,5mm and 14x10x1,5mm – the last two positions are chamfered. All frames are made from aluminum and can be in the color of grilles / grids. In case the floor is evenly finished and adheres to the heater, there is no need for frames. Important: grilles without L-frames are wider, so you can not install the border at a later stage. -

RUNGS OF GRILLE
The grille rungs can be made of various materials: wood, aluminum, stainless steel (more details in the tab: “Products“). Depending on the needs, the rungs have different heights, so our grilles can be adapted to most radiators available in Europe. Currently, the lowest produced grid was just 8mm, and the highest 40mm. To compensate for unevenness or raising the grille by 1-5mm, use damping primers made of solid rubber, available in accessories: https://reiker.pl/en/products/akcesoria/ -

HEAT EXCHANGER
The heat exchanger located in the heater consists of, among others from thin sipes / plates, which should be protected against bending or damage. Masking grilles are used for this purpose. A wide range of products allows the customer to choose the right cover, suited to individual interiors.

DISTANCES
All grilles for duct heaters must have adequate air throughput. For this purpose, and for visual purposes, distances of various lengths are used. The most popular and at the same time the most aesthetic distance for aluminum grilles is the distance of 12mm. Then, looks from the top, we have a rung with a width of 10mm and a distance of L = 12.5mm. For wooden grids, where the standard rung section is 20×14, the most appropriate length is 15mm. However, it is the client who decides about the distance. Available lengths: 5mm, 7.5mm, 10mm, 12.5mm, 15mm, 17.5mm. The smaller the distance, the more dense the rungs are next to each other, the less heat comes out of the radiator to the outside.

Ordering the grille
- WHEN ORDERING
- Heaters mounted in the floor have different lengths and widths to match the amount of heat to the environment (energy efficiency). All duct heaters during assembly require proper preparation, which is mentioned by every radiator manufacturer (leaflet or information on the website). An important element is adjusting the height of the heater’s rim to the height of the already finished floor (many manufacturers use adjustable feet, thanks to which the height can be adjusted after laying the floor). Here we collect information about the desired height of the grille.
Another important task is to arrange the radiator in such a way that the entire length of the duct is the same everywhere (manufacturers often give struts, but sometimes pour a radiator spout, and after removing the struts, the heater’s rim are clenches, losing the same dimension ). If we are already sure that the heater is equal over the entire length, it should be checked whether the floor finishing element (board, panel, tile, … etc …), will evenly touch the edge of the bathtub, or whether an expansion joint will be used (gap between a bathtub and a floor).
With this information, you can start ordering the right set.

- WHICH SET SHOULD I ORDER
- Depending on your needs, you can order the grille itself (elements 3 + 5) or a grille with a L-shaped border (element 2).
If the floor will be in contact with the bathtub, or if a connecting finish, eg cork, silicon, grout, will be used, it is not necessary to use a decorative frame type L. In this case, use the example measurement of the grille without decorative strips: Measurement instructions without decorative frames
However, if a frame is provided, then one should make a measurement according to the example instruction: Instructions for measuring grids with decorative frames.
The frames are available in the same anode colors as the grille, thanks to which the set will create an aesthetic whole.
Dimensions of L-frames: 15x15x1,5mm or 20x20x2mm. The 15mm frame covers the dilations up to about 11mm, while the 20mm frame covers the roughness up to about 16mm. New L-frames, chamfered: 14x10x1,5mm and 20x8x1,5mm.
